Net bags for smoking, cooking and drying meat
Extruded net bags are excellent for meat preparation such as smoking ham and poultry. The durable net bags keep the meat neatly contained and allow for hanging, while allowing smoke to infuse the meat.
The plastic netting bags are well able to withstand the heat of smoking or cooking the meat. Weight is not a problem either, as a polypropylene ham net bag sealed with a metal clip can easily contain a 15kg ham.
The netting bags make an appealing display, and many of the smoked chickens and hams are sold still in the net.
The plastic netting bags are also used for cooking small goods such as sausages. The bags provide handy packaging and meat producers often leave them in place for shipping to wholesalers and retailers.
For many of New Zealand’s best known meat producers, Betta-Net net bags are part of their normal production process and packaging.
To make hanging the meat easier during preparation, you can get food grade nylon loops from us, supplied along with the net bags.
The nylon meat loops are produced in our factory in sizes to suit the weight and size of the net bag. Being nylon, they don’t absorb anything and stay clean throughout the processing cycle.
Betta-Net convert all types of fibrous, plastic and nylon casings for the meat, fish and poultry industries.
Casings can be converted to a maximum length of 1.2 metres and clips can be applied to casings with a maximum filled diameter of 203mm.
We can also cut and split fibrous casings for use on smoke racks and punch vent holes if needed.
